The Department of Campus Police is located at all campuses. The Department is staffed by 17 state certified peace officers. All PPCC Campus Police officers are commissioned State peace/police officers. They have full police authority and functions the same as any other law enforcement agency in the State of Colorado and on college property.

Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX Coordinator will provide victims with individualized supportive measures that are appropriate and reasonably available, including counseling, extensions of deadlines or other course-related adjustments, modifications of schedules, and mutual restrictions on contact between parties.

Victim Advocates - TESSA

TESSA's Higher Education/Title IX legal program provides legal advice and representation to college students who have experienced sexual violence in connection to their school enrollment. Legal services on a variety of matters including civil protection orders, Title IX and school misconduct claims, civil rights complaints, requests for reasonable accommodations, victims rights education and support in criminal prosecutions.

TESSA has no PPCC affiliation.

Sexual Assault Forensic Medical Exam

If you are a victim of a sexual assault, you may request a medical forensic exam. This is important if you think you want to seek legal action. It is vital that a victim obtains medical treatment as soon as possible and does not bathe, shower, douche, or change clothes until given permission by medical personnel. You can have the exam without having to report the assault to law enforcement. You will not be charged for the cost of the exam.

If you do not have transportation to the facility, you may contact a friend or family member, taxi service, public transportation, or PPCC Human Resource Services (during normal business hours at 719-502-2600). Any cost for transportation is the responsibility of the student.
