In between classes and homework, Audrey Bussanich has built a music career.

While currently attending Pikes Peak Community College as a Kane Scholar, Audrey Bussanich works as a full-time singer/songwriter producing her original songs and performing in the Pikes Peak Region. She displays a depth and range of musical knowledge and ability greater than her years. Audrey has been training classically since age 3. At 17, she swapped the concert hall for corner dive bars playing rock-n-roll with local veteran musicians, where her songwriting was nurtured and cultivated. Through these relationships, Audrey was introduced to local recording engineer, Bill Douglass, owner and founder of Royal Recording located in Colorado Springs, with whom she produced Southern Side. Audrey managed all aspects of the production with Royal Recording and local studio musicians Dylan Teifer on the bass, Jimi Aud on electric guitar and Drew Isbell on drums. These musicians will take the stage with her during the debut of her EP at Stargazers on May 19, 2017.

Audrey’s music shows influences ranging from the impressionist composers of the 19th century to the Americana bands of the 60’s. Contemporary female artists such as Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow inspire Audrey’s original songs. Her soulful lyrics and engaging performance style are guaranteed to please concertgoers of all ages. While some connect to the timeless quality of her voice, others are drawn by the universal lyrical themes of love lost and found, with one listener saying, “I feel like you are channeling someone much older” to which she laughingly replied, “Yes, I get that a lot”.

In 2016 she sought and won a piano endorsement from Kurzweil Music Systems. In January 2017 she traveled to NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim, CA where she performed on the Kurzweil stage and gained an additional endorsement from Electrovoice, leaders in sound reinforcement solutions who’s products include wired microphones and wireless microphones, in addition to other products. She saved earnings from her side job as a nanny to fund this project and is currently putting together a late August East Coast Tour with the ColdHeart Revival band.
