Mobile Food Market
In partnership with Southern Colorado Care and Share, the Department of Student Life organizes monthly mobile food markets open to students, staff, and community members.
There are no requirements to receive food (no ID or demonstration of need). Food distribution is completed on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Education Materials Assistance
Free Textbooks
A partnership with Slingshot will make free required textbooks available for all degree and certificate-seeking PPCC students. All eligible students will automatically receive required free course materials. After registering for a class, each student’s course materials will be individually selected, processed, and packed to include all required materials.
The free textbook program will be valid for the 2021/22 school year.
This offer does not extend to concurrent high school students, who get free textbooks paid by their school districts.

Free Education Supplies
Students can pick up various education supplies such as pens, folders, and binders from the Student Life Information Centers. Since surplus office supplies support this program, there are no guarantees of the types and quantities of materials.

The Child Development Center (CDC) is located at the Centennial and Rampart Range Campuses. The CDC has multiple resources to assist students with child care costs ranging from outside agencies, subsidies for military families, scholarships, and grant assistance for low-income students. Dental Assistance
Low-Cost Dental Services
PPCC Dental Assisting students under the supervision of a licensed dentist will provide low-cost exams, x-rays, restorations, sealants, and fluoride treatments. Open to all PPCC students, employees, and their families.

Tax Assistance
Tax Help Colorado
IRS-certified Accounting program students and volunteers work under tax professionals' supervision to provide quality tax return services for free to low-to-moderate income Coloradans. The income limit this year is $57,000.

Many other factors play a part in your time at Pikes Peak Community College. We are here to help with any issues that arise during your time here and make your time here the best possible.

- Appointments with 2-1-1 Navigators to assess your needs to enable efficient and relevant help.
- Short-term intervention (many resources are designed to help immediate needs, with some providing long-term goals of individual and financial sustainability)
- Referral to community and PPCC resources to help students adjust to, cope with, and succeed in college.
- Crisis intervention by providing information about referrals to the community and the counseling center.
